alligator cake

Started something new…I let the kids each take a turn picking out a dinner.  They have to choose a main course, a side dish, a veggie/fruit & dessert.  All went well until we got to dessert.  Ava wanted drumsticks, Grady chose popsicles & Garrett…wanted an alligator cake.  WHAT?!?!  So, here is my attempt at one.  Nothing like setting the bar high, yikes!!  And yes, there are candles in there – my kids look for any excuse to make wishes & blow them out!

While I’m Waiting

This song has gotten a lot of repeat play on my ipod lately.  When I can barely lift my head, I listen to it & am encouraged.

Every one has something they’re waiting for…an answer to prayer, a decision, a miracle.  At times, waiting causes me to feel powerless, but it forces me to rely on prayer & hope.  And that’s where I find my true power…in Him.

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”  Isaiah 40:31

“Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD.” Psalm 27:14
