has it really been two weeks?

We just got home from Tennessee after a 10 day getaway!

I was down in Nashville for 6 days & then the rest of the family (along with my parents, grandma, aunt & uncle) came down.  We spent the rest of the vacation in the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge area.

It was a great trip – one I’ll always appreciate & remember!!

I have a bunch of photos to sort through.  I’ll have them up by tomorrow!

(hang in there just a bit longer Matt ;) )

“I want Ba-Ba-Ba!” “I want Ba-Ba-Ba!”

This has been Grady’s cry for about a month now.

No, he is not asking for a bottle.  He is asking for his favorite song.

Barbara Ann

He loves this song.  Whenever Adam puts it on, Grady gets up & starts jumping up & down.  He only sings ba-ba-ba, but when that part comes, he yells sings it such a way that you can’t help but sing along with him.

Ava & Garrett quickly got on the Ba-Ba-Ba bandwagon too.  So, Tuesday night, we, along with some good friends, took the kids to see the Beach Boys at Ravinia.

We had such a good time!  We brought our blanket, lawn chairs, favorite snacks & had a good time dancing.  Throughout the night, the kids kept asking when their song was coming.  Adam & I kept replying “Hopefully soon,” and then we’d give each other a nervous glance.  I mean, I know they have lots of wonderful songs & can only fit so many into a set, but they just HAD to play that song.

And then, five minutes before the concert ended…it came.

Oh, I wish you could have been there!  It was such a sweet moment, watching our kids’ faces light up – especially Grady.

What a wonderful summer night!

So, Graders, this one is for you…

And for those reading/watching, go ahead – bop along…you know you want to.  ;)

God’s Chisel

“God, I’ve let You down so many times.”

“No, (God replied) you were never holding Me up.”

I don’t know about you, but I think my heart skipped a beat when I first heard that.

Check out the rest of the skit below.

It’s about 10 minutes long, but it’s worth your time.  Trust me.

Thanks Dana for telling me about it!
