Some of the favorite things my kids’ say are at the dinner table.
My mom has always encouraged me to write these down, so here goes!
This evening’s highlights:
~
Ava: “Dad, I like Mommy’s bacon better than yours.”
Nope, this isn’t a commentary on his cooking – she prefers tofu bacon to the real thing!
~
Garrett: “I want ketchup Mommy!”
Ketchup is always good, but he likes it spread on his toast…
~
Ava: “Dad, I need more salt on my eggs.”
Adam: “I don’t care.”
Ava: dramatically inhales “What do you mean you don’t care!”
She gets the drama in her from him, you know…

Kelly,
As promised, here is a Wisconsin posting. As I scrolled down the page to find a post I wanted to comment on, the moment I reached the words tofu bacon I knew where to click! I have no problem with tofu in say misu (sp.?) soup, but Tofu bacon. Bacon is an insititution in an English fried brekafast and so you are stepping on dangerous ground in messing with it!
It was great fun to be able to get to know you and Chris much better at the StrenghsFinder conference here at Green Lake this past few days. I hope you all found the Vox and Starbucks coffee shops ok on the way home.
Cheers,
Ben

Thanks so much Ben! I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you better too! Green Lake is incredibly beautiful – it was a wonderful trip.
I’ll cook you up some tofu bacon some day – I bet you like it (well…maybe).
As for the coffee shops, we found the Starbucks & let me tell you – those dark chocolate graham crackers were incredible – thanks for the suggestion!
Take care!
